Hamburgers, the quintessential fast food, loved and adored by all around the world, is a personal favorite of mine as well. Burgers are probably the food that I have tried the most, in different countries and continents. A good burger depends on many factors, the obvious one being the meat, whether chicken, beef or other. For me, beef patties are the best and one when cooked perfectly, is one of the best things to eat on Planet Earth. The best part of a beef burger is that you only have to season it with salt and pepper, the meat will take care of the rest of the flavor. Another important factor is the bun. I prefer a toasted brioche bun or a flavored bagel bun for my burger. Recently, in Austin, I had this insane beef burger at 6th Street. The burger had a jalapeno cheddar bagel bun which was out of this world. The beef burger was juicy and when paired with fresh lettuce andΒ cheddar cheese along with the house made jalapeno ranch, it was a match made in heaven. In addition to this, you have the add-ons, the lettuce, tomato, onions, bacon, cheese, eggs….the list goes on! Sauces also play an important role in the overall taste of a burger. This homemade burger included an Angus beef burger with a pizza dough bun along with some lettuce, bacon and chipotle ranch and a sunny side up egg just waiting to be punctured! There is no recipe for this homemade burger but I will definitely have one coming up on the blog real soon!

I love it when the patty is medium rare and juicy! I only started loving burgers recently in the past year or two π Before that? Never really ate it lol.

Fun read! Having moved abroad and originally from Minnesota I have insane cravings for a great burger. Even a mediocre burger is impossible to find in the Seychelles as the beef is too lean to have flavor. I have even added minced pork to no avail. Thank you for making my mouth water!

No meat grinders for home use here on this tiny island but a great idea! Most butchers here grind their own fresh but unfortunately it’s just not the same. A small price for living in paradise. I will live vicariously through you. Cheers!
